| | Hey, everybody! I was wondering what your opinions are on nylon reins for Western training. I have a ten year old quarter horse mare who's pretty green, but rideable. She rides pretty well, but she ALWAYS wants her head, and apparently these might help me keep better control of her? Help, please! |

| I find them easier to grip than leather reins. I haven't bought them or anything, but I'm assuming that they're cheaper. (Possibly, I haven't seen them for sale anywhere)

| I've never really used nylon reins but I use cotton reins for barrels, training, and trail. And I really like them.

| | Taylor had Charlie using nylon riens at one point. Let me tell you, they look cool and may not be that expensive, but I hate them. I found them slippery to hold and they were super super short, so in order to let Charlie stretch his head down, I had to let go of the riens completely. I like leather riens better.

And no, I DO NOT think that Edward is hot (in the movies). You got a problem with that? |

Holding you I held everything For a moment wasn't I a king But if I'd only known how the king would fall Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd have had to miss the dance… |

| | Cool. Thanks, guys. I think i'm gonna buy a pair just to try them out. They sell the extra-long kind at my tack store. I hope they're not SUPER harsh on hands, though. I hate wearing gloves!!!! |

When I was running Cinnamon I only used nylon reins, mine our purple XD But they didn't hurt my hands and I didn't wear gloves, I also found them easier to hold on to then leather ones.
