| I'm definetly not for coloured tack. I like bright saddle pads, polos, fly veils, crops etc. but not mt bridle or saddle. I like somewhat sparkly browbands though.

| I think colored saddles can be REALLY tacky, and if I ever saw that someone go in the showring with colored tack, that would be a mess. I love colored saddle pads, browbands, polos, halters... Although these bridles from pinkequine arnt tacky and would be cute for schooling. www.pinkequine.com

| Here's my thoughts on colored tack:
English: Polo wraps, saddle pads, browbands, and helmets are okay for schooling ONLY. The only thing I would use for the show ring out of these is a bling browband - and that draws the line.
Western: Colorful tack is my love! Saddles, bridles, breast plates, reins, anything colorful is the way to go for me!

| | *This is Aurora* Im all for fun/colored tack, but only to a certain extent. I love simple, colored saddle pads like the Roma Ecole ones. They have a touch of color/trim/pattern, but they stay very clear of being tacky. Even colored polos are ok, but only if they complement the horse's color(ie burgundy on a Chestnut), and go with the saddle pad. I would personally die w/o my purple Ecole pad with teal trim, but thats just me XD. As for colored saddles/bridles, however, they are too extreme for my taste. Having a colored saddle severly distracts from the horse and rider, IMO, which tack should never do. Unless you are a trail rider or just someone who plays around for fun on Saturday afternoons, please leave the colored saddles/bridles at home.

| Arab_Jumper (9/28/2008) I hate colored tack. I think it should be classic, traditional black or brown leather. And light brown or tan if fine for western. I'm ok with colored saddle pads, but I really don't usually like ones with patterns. There's always an exception here and there, but I normally like one solid color, or like one with lining, or your initals, or a little design in the corner. Depends though. Sometimes I don't mind a colored browband, just when you aren't riding seriously. And usually I think matching boots on the horse to the saddle pad or whatever is fine, as long as it's not tacky. Agreed.

| ponyjumper3 (9/28/2008) Nope, I think it's really tacky. I'm fine with like a colored browband or something, and colorful saddle pads are always fun, but not bridles and saddles. I agree!
