Ok guys, I need some more ground work ideas. My horse and I are getting rather bored and he needs to respect me more. What and can we do on the ground to accomplish and over come these things? thanks

do you have trails? my horse loves it when I walk him on the trails. you could also lead him up and down hills and build your fitness as well as his!

if you know how to lunge, you could lunge him over jumps or other little obstacles, thats always fun. you could also do some precision exercises, like trying to put one of his feet in a tire or in a hula hoop. You just have to get creative in doing your groundwork. just dont over do it. xD

Yeah the Parelli games are lots of fun and earn you respect. :)

You can play with obstacles. Tarps, barrels, tires, pedestals, logs, manure (lol), poles, cavaleties, excercise balls, buckets, hula hoops, and all sorts of things. You can desensitize with them and play games.  You can ask for the front feet in the hula-hoop, a foot on the tire, walk around with a tarp over him, etc.

Parelli. At a minimum, know the Seven Games, but there's SO much more in the Levels program.
