Share your bare back misshapps I have quite a few the first time I tried to ride bareback on my gelding i got halway on his back (he was 16.2 hands and we don't have a mounting block) when he jumped to the side of course I fell of then like any good horseperson I got back on and then my gelding bucked me off! then more recently on my mare and she jumped ton the side but that time i staid on then about a week ago I got on my mare and she bucked again i staid on then later in that ride we walked down to the dry pond and the pond is down in a hole type thingy and my mare decided she didint lik walking on the squishy ground so she dashed up the three foot bank thankfully I was able to grab some mane other wise I would have fallen off but I still was hit in the top of the head with a small twig from a nearby tree.

Me and my friend wanted to do bareback doubles. Everything was fine at the walk and trot. So she wanted to canter. I told her I had never cantered her bareback cause shes a little unbalanced and fast/bumpy. She didn't care. So we cantered. Well this was before a fun show and I had sprayed show sheen on her. It got under where the saddle goes cause the wind blew it. Long story short she started to slip and she grabbed on to me so so did I. Thank god my horse is good and she stopped before we fell off. Lol I think I will always remember that day. I almost peed myself laughing.

Oh my goodness. My worst bareback incident (well, dumbest anyways) was double bareback. On a cow....... Yeah, farm kid here *cracks up*. Anyways, cow moved (slowly) city kid friend flipped out, slid off, and pretty much yanked me off as well. And that, my dear friends, is why we do not let city kids ride cows. I now know that...

I'm sure I've had plenty of other mishaps over the years, but thats the first one that comes to mind XD

I was trying to shut a gate while I was on the horse and I ended up pulling myself off the horse. It was pretty dumb.

Oh God don't speak of cow riding. I'm in 4-h dairy so we decided to take out some of the bigger cows so we could ride. We brought them over to the horse barn and were on them in the indoor arena. Mine started moving so I gently pulled on the lead line to get him to stop. Well she freaked out and took off. Anyway there were some jumps set up (just REALLY low caviletties not even 1 foot) she jumped them (cause I couldn't get her to stop). I fell off. I stayed on for the jump though (go me). She wasn't hurt and neither was I. Let me tell you that was the last time in a while that I have ridden a cow.

I was in dairy 4-h too XD. We tried cow show jumping, didn't work. Was really, REALLY funny though.
