| do any of you gus have connemaras? I do well she isn't pure but we think she is mostly connemara.

| | My neighbor had a registered one, and her daughter showed him in hunters when she was a teenager, when her gelding was younger and before the girl went to college. When her daughter moved out and whatever, my neighbor rode him some. I used to take care of him all the time and he was fun. He was pretty agressive with other horses though haha. He recently died, ok well a year ago, from a random colicing, which was sad. R.I.P. Decker. He was around 14.2hh, 18 years old, and a graying black. I also rode a Connemara pony, around 13 hands, at a horse rescue when it was down the road from me. She had been a pretty nice show pony but got donated to the rescue because she was forever escaping out of her pasture, and was around 16 anyway. I rode her several times, and absolutely adored her. But she was a total snot, she pinned her ears at anyone, tried to constant ****, and all the kids were afraid of her because they thought she'd kick them...which I'm not positive it was proven she wouldn't do. But I loved her, and she was so darn cute when she put her ears up. We almost adopted her and sold Flicka, right when we bought Flicka, but we didn't. And I'm kinda glad anyway. But she got adopted to a lesson barn about 20 minutes away, and I got to go ride her there when I went to a camp there. They let me hop on her a couple times a jump her, since the conditions I rode her in were far from suitable. But now she has cancer (she's gray so it was more likely for her to get a melanoma anyway) and she can't be ridden anymore.
