On a small pattern (example, away rodeos in temporary arenas) I usually run 14-15 range, so those are probably where my bests are. At the home arena, which is still pretty small, about 16.1 something

Would this be the same horse who 'broke a racetrack furlong record' a few months ago?

I hope she wasn't going full speed, if this obvious record breaker was sprinting through at 18.5 I'd be scared b/c obvs she should be running a 2.2 at MOST

How often do you actually run the pattern with him? Also what exactly do you mean by "explode"

i only did it once. and by exploding,i mean,he gets all energetic/hyper/excited,and tryings rearing everytime i hold him back. then canters/gallops tot he first barrel and gets pissed when i try holding him back.

I think mine was like a 15 something at the Illinois state fair colosseum.(barrel racing) I know his fastest in poles was a 21.something, was so close to first off by one hundredth of a second. Depending if I am really pushing him his average is probably 17 seconds. He is a all around pleasure, jumping, english, western, and gaming horse that can literally do anything.
