Hi again! So yesterday i went on a "equine photography shoot." My neighbor has 2 horses. A arabian gelding with the most amazing story you can even imagine and a percheron mare. Two Socks and Jessie. I took a couple of my favorite pictures and edited them. I was wondering what you think.(and which one is your favorite) Thanks!

Jessie

I'll be posting more later on. :)

My favorite is the first one of Jessie. You did a great head shot. I also really like the way you got Two Socks legs and head.

Macro lenses work really well with the horses. Don't over filter your pictures, and try to hold down the shutter button so everything will become less blury. You want to have your subject be highlighted, and everything else to be slightly out of focus. It works well on my horse shoots.

If you take a picture of a flower, the center of the flower is your focal point, and anything else surrounding the flower is not as imporant as the center of the flower. If you can get your camera to focus on the center of the flower, it makes the outside less important.

I think she means like this:

his eye is clear and in focus, and the trees/bushes in the background are kinda blurred. see?
