Not a big Friesian buff, but here are some basics: (Sorry if they are too obvious, but Ive never really had experience with friesians.

They are a form of light draft horse, are usually mostly black, they came from Friesland in the Netherlands, They are very versatile and used for light farm work, driving, pleasure riding, and dressage. They can be jumped but were not bred for it. They are around 15 or 16 hands and are about 1300+ pounds.

Friesians are beautiful, powerful, and to me, mysterious horses. They were popular with knights, and some have become movie stars in really good movies. They have a "mustache" that grows in the winter and in the summer when they graze, they "shave" it off.

Sorry this is all I could come up with now but I hope it helps :)

Only those who risk going too far, can possibly find, how far they can go.

I'm happy in summertime beneath the dark blue sky, nae thinkin in the mornin at nicht where i'm gang to lie
bothies or byres or barns, or oot amangst the hay,and if the weather does permit, I'm happy a' the day.

Thats personality, not breed. My draft cross gives hugs and kisses and tries to use my cell phone but I don't think all draft crosses do that xD
