So at my barn there is a Friesian/Appy cross known as Moose. But I can see the Friesian in him,but he's COMPLETELY black. No spots. How come some appy's don't have spots?
Also there is a horse named Icey at my barn. Go to google images and search for MEMC morgans Tequila Cuervo. That is her sire. Isn't he gorgeous?

It could just be that the black outruled his spots.

Not all Appaloosas have spots, just like not all Paints have markings. They're just called solid Appaloosas/Paints, or breeding stock.

You've had enough, but just don't give up. Stick to your guns, you are worth fighting for. You know we've all got battle scars, keep marching on.

Because he's not an Appaloosa?
Plus all patterned breeds have breeding stock

I knew a solid black appy with friesian like hair /random

the night hath been to me a more familiar face than that of man; and in her starry shade of dim and solitary loveliness i learned the language of another world.
I'm happy in summertime beneath the dark blue sky, nae thinkin in the mornin at nicht where i'm gang to lie
bothies or byres or barns, or oot amangst the hay,and if the weather does permit, I'm happy a' the day.

The one I knew had like one white spot near the inside of his lip and had more hair than my belgian cross did, which was quite impressive xD.
