Hi!  You know how the Young Rider Magazine has added a new section called 'Fit for Riding' well, I was thinking that maybe it would be cool to have a new section like that here on Young Rider Forums so that people could give suggestions and ask questions.  I think I put this topic in the right place, but if not, let me know and I will move it.  Just write any comments or ideas that you have!  Thanks!

Rio~ I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING AND YOU'RE THE BEST!  THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!  I LOVE YOU!  RIO AND SAMI- PROUD EVENTERS OF THE USEA!  THANKS.

Thank you for the suggestion. I don't think we get enough posts about that topic here to create a new forum for it. Most people post in Horse Talk I believe if they want to discuss it.

Rio Baby,

We really haven't had a lot of feedback from that column in YR and we will end it in the November/December issue. I thought it was a good column, because (of course!) riders should be fit. I just never heard much about it.

Thanks for your suggestion though!

YR

Please don't end it! It may not get a lot of feedback, but it's still really useful. At least maybe keep writing articles about fitness regularly, like once every few issues? I really think that fitness leads to better riding, and it shouldn't be ignored. Just my opinion though, and sorry for the minirant.

I know right D: I do those exercises almost everyday. Doing the same ones over and over gets boring though, so new ones are always nice.
DO YOU WANT OBESE PEOPLE TO SQUISH PONIES BACK? ;D But really, it's all I do now for fitness other than riding and barn work.

The way I exercise is pretty simple; Pick on dog until it takes toy away from you, then chase it in circles on 17 acres until you pass out :].

Lol the column is pretty helpful though :D.

 Ninja Donkey. Period.
