Dear Cessie/anybody who wants to help,

How can I make banners like the one below (Made by Bree) where it's like chunks cut out of a square? Every time I try, it says something about transparency not being supported?

And how do you get the purple tint like on the banner above or the yellow tint on the banner below? Also how do you blend and how do you get the transparent text like on this banner?

How can I make banners like the one below (Made by Bree) where it's like chunks cut out of a square? Every time I try, it says something about transparency not being supported?

GHDKJFDHJFHDGHGDU I had a really good tutorial on how to do it but I think it got deleted... >.>

Can you explain to me how you're trying to do it, and what file type you're trying to save it as? You want to use the shape tool and save it as a PNG-24 with transparency checked.

I think those color changes were done by adding textures and putting them on different lighting settings.

To make the text overlayed like that, put the layer setting (it's a drop down list on the layer palette. Lemme know if you want a screen shot of what it looks like :) ) on overlay.
