It's my first time using GIMP and I have no clue how to. How do you get pictures from a file, and how do you blend, so it's not all smudgy? Oh and how do you blend? I got the pictures out and they are just ontop of each other.

if this clears it up any it says somewhere in here the answers to ur questions =]

its a pictue so you can save it =]

Make sure you save it on your computer. Go to your pictures, right click and their should be an option to 'Edit With Gimp'. If not open up Gimp go File>Open. You should be able to find it from there.

How do you make the text sort of backlit/have a border, like the poster above mine's text is?

GIMP. I can use photoshop if I must, but I'm much better with GIMP.

I'm using photoshop Elements 8, and when I try to selcet my image and Edit --> Copy, the copy button, as well as the cut and paste buttons, are gray. What wrong with it?
Thanks!

edit: never mind I figured it out.

I tried this, and it's working so far, but I can't find this alleged "top layer thingy" I'm supposed to right-click? I found the new layer button, but I can't find anything that says anything about "layer mask."
