| Banner ducked and got away from him. He saw Holly fighting to keep the other horses away from her. He felt helpless, but he continued fighting the buckskin, keeping a close eye on the other battle as well. Thorn and Needle were good fighters and just kept at her Spirit jumped up from where he was sleeping. "I want to!" he said. Bella nodded. "Okay." Storm and Mist nodded. "If we're to drive them away once and for all, we'll need the alliance of every faithful relative you have," Storm said. "Otherwise," Mist added, "They might be able to do just that to us. Where would we be then?" Storm shook his head in disgust. "I am less concerned about the Arabians, they can be distracted easily. But the horses of Emrald Pine will fight alongside them. Fortunately, Queen, over half of them will side with us." /novel.

| Banner gave the buckskin one last, hard kick in the chest and went to help Holly. He rammed into Thorn as hard as he could. "Get out of here, Thorn!" "Wait for us!" Spirit and Bella said. They raced after the other horses, Spirit gained ground surprisingly fast.

| "No we won't," Banner said, kicking Thorn away. "Israel and Star won't be letting this go on." Spirit and Bella followed Crystal and Blossum. "We want to help!" Bella insisted.

Thorn laughed. "Who says they'll be in charge?"
Holly became defensive at that comment. "They will! They know how to handle this!"
Crystal came into the clearing first. "No!" She ran over to Holly unnoticed until she got there. She nipped Thorn's leg and danced out of the way. Even without training from a senior warrior, she was good. "Leave them alone!" Thorn laughed. "Now the baby is trying to defend her sister, is she?" He let Needle go after Crystal while he focused his attack on Holly.
"Thorn, stop!"
Everyone looked around to see Blossom storming up to Thorn. "Leave them alone! What xo you have against them?"
Thorn snorted. "What do you have for them, little sister?"
Blossom was determined. "They may look different, but they're just the same as us!"
Thorn shook his head. "Leave this to your elders. You just don't understand."
Blossom was furious. "Oh, don't I!" She glared daggers at him, then spun and went after Needle.
Holly shook her head. "Stay out if this!" She called to the younger ones.
Blossom shook her head. "Never! I'm going to be my own person here! This is personal, very personal!" She and Crystal kept dancing around Needle, nipping and teasing her.
Holly was surprised by the news that Blossom was Thorn's sister, but that thought was lost in another attack from Thorn.
OOC: What if Spirit has to run all alone back to camp for help?

| ooc; Okay. bic; Bella jumped in with Blossum and Crystal and started helping them. "Bella, Spirit, go back home and stay out of this!" Banner ordered. Spirit took a step back, not sure what to do. Then he got an idea; he didn't have to fight. He could go get his dad. Spinning on his heels, he took off toward home at a dead run. It didn't take long, he was pretty fast. He almost crashed into Israel as he got there. "Dad! Thorn and two other horses are picking on horses from our herd down by the border, they're all fighting and they need help!" Israel looked at Star, who was standing nearby. "Spirit, lead the way." Banner attacked Thorn, getting him away from Holly. Needle flattened her ears at the fillies, striking out a back hoof at them threataningly.

Star pursed her lips angrily. "Thorn," she said. "He's leaving this herd. He and his friends and family. I don't care what you say, they're leaving this herd, no matter what!" She said angrily. "Picking on my daughter... Holly told me, but I didn't think it was this big of a deal, and if Spirit was there..." She gasped. "Bella! Crystal! Blossom!" She started cantering, following their tracks. "Picking on my daughters, they'll pay, oh they'll pay!"
OOC: Holly has a very protective mother when she needs to be. XD
Holly saw Needle lashing out at the fillies. She was filled with rage. No one attacked her sister! Before Needle could see it coming, she attacked, kicking her in the side.
The buckskin picked himself up and lashed out at Banner, almost catching his leg.
Crystal dodged the attack, ducking. She dashed around the other side and kicked at Needle's leg. Blossom, on the other side of Needle, did the same.
