Hi Everyone,

When you're posting your introductory post please keep our Forum Rule #5 in mind:

5. Don't share personally identifiable information.
To protect your privacy and to ensure your online safety, we ask that you do not post personally identifiable information. This includes phone numbers, address, instant messaging screen names (AOL, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, etc,) or web address leading to such information. Further, we ask that you do not share someone else's personally identifiable information.

*This includes being smart and not posting your age!*

We want to keep everyone's information safe and private.

Just a little thing that popped into my mind, but why put spaces for your IM screenames in our profile/posts? xP

I wondered the same thing. :P Also, don't give out other people your friends screen names. Instead tell your friend that so-and-so asked for it, so that you don't get creepy people IM'ing you :|

That's nothing new. Only members can post, but anyone can look at the forums.

The fields for screen names and such are a part of the so***are. We've been able to limit some things and we're still working on cracking others. But for the most part we try to do the honor "be smart and don't post it" system.

As for the other question, TheEquestrianStar is correct. Only members can post but everyone can view thus. Thus, why some members take the lazy route of just checking new posts instead of logging in.
