Okay I have a tip try closing your legs. It should help!

Lots and lots of no stirrups, as well as just more practice with keeping your legs still at the trot.

| your legs may be flopping out of habit? i had a friends who did the "rise and squeese" too obviously and had a tought time breaking it. i agree on the no stirrups. play around with it; different rhythems like "up-up-dow", "down-down-up", two-points... all that good stuff. pace yourself, though. i find it easier to start off with a goal and keep progressing as you ride. i.e- im going to go half the arena. succeed. rest. repeat until wanting to do more. good luck :)

Lots of leg strengthening exercises - Stirrupless, leg stretching, and double posting.

I agree with what others have said. Riding without stirrups does wonders! Just drop them when you're warming up, and make a habit of doing it for a few minutes, it helps in the long run.
