Well if you don't need anything, save it until you actually DO need something. Or save it and put it towards the price of a future horse, or future board or something. Or for a nice saddle you can use once you do get your own horse.
If you just splurge and spend a bunch of it now, on stuff you don't really need, and then in the future you really want something or need the money, you'll be beating yourself up over spending it right away on stupid stuff.

How much's she giving you? Uhmm...$1000.... She got a settlement over something, so she's giving her grandkids $1000 each. Holy Cow!!!!!!!! I would love to have that much monny right now. New boots are always nice and you can never have to many halters, saddle blankets, exc. I think a brading kit would be nice.
