Just one thing can't be said about an entire breed.
Dutch Warmbloods are wonderful horses, they're amazing in the show ring. But, like any other breed, some are bombproof, some are only safe to be ridden by a trainer, and some are just right. Is there one in particular you're looking at?

Nope, just wanted to know what you think, I just wanted an overview of them. And if anyone has one, is it good doing all the things you ask?

In general, they are an extremely athletic and versitile breed. However, they can be just as hot-headed or more than breeds like TBs, and they need a lot of exercise to keep mentally and physically OK. They *usually* aren't a beginner breed, and certainly not a beginner warmblood.
~*Ceci*~ but you don't know what you've got 'till its gone.

My friend leases a Dutch Warmblood and he is the absolute SWEETEST horse. His personality is so cutttte.
Under saddle wise, he needs some work, but when he gets moving correctly he is adorable.
Anyways, its hard to generalize a breed because each horse is different, but I just gave you an example of a DW I know.

| Like said above, it depends on the horse. Dutchies are generally pretty good tempered and athletic, making them good for eventing/hunters/jumpers/dressage/etc. They can be hot-headed or laid-back. I've ridden some that were very quiet and nice to ride and others that "dumblood" described perfectly. I tried one out to buy that was completely insane. Granted, he was green, but you could just tell that even fully trained he'd have still been quite stupid to ride. But yeah, it all depends on the horse, lol. Truthfully, I've ridden more insane/hyper dutchies/warmbloods than thoroughbreds, haha.

Thanks Bree (Babidollroxs591) for the banner! Life never "happens" at a good time
