There's been a lot of people asking how to do these things lately and we've been getting a lot of new members. So I thought that maybe this would help.

Siggies
Siggies are short for signatures.
They are the pictures/text that appear after your posts.
Try to keep them short, because big one tend to slow down people's computers.
The general "Rule" is that you should be able to read your post and see your siggy without having to scroll down.
To edit a siggy go to the top of your screen.

Welcome Switchfoot_rocks7 ( Logout )
Control Panel  0/19 Messages

And click "Control Panel and then go to the menu on the side and click "Edit Siggy."

If you want a siggy made for you, pm one of the people with "Pm me for a banner or siggy" In their own siggies and they'd be happy to make you a siggy.

Avatars
For your avatar do the same, except click "Edit Avatar," instead of siggy. Avatar is right next to siggy.

If you want to find some cool horse avatars, I usually use www.iconator.com they have avvies of just about anything you can think off.

PM's

To send a PM go to the button on the top that says 0/0 messages and then you can create a new message or whatever.

To delete your pms (you can only have 50 or you can't recieve anymore) go to the menu on the side of your inbox and click "Empty Pm Folders." putting them in delete doesn't really do anything except move them to a different folder.

Pm means "Private Message"

Member Status

Your member status is located on the side of your post, in the little blue boxes. They boxes fill up as you get more posts.
Starting Member - 0-49
New Member - 50-99
Junior Member - 100-499
Average Member - 500-999
Senior Member - 1000-1999
Advanced Member - 2000+

Deleting

Even though you have a delete post button, you can't delete posts, only the mods can.

Other Stuff

Also what bump means-Bump is what we say when we want a topic to go up to the front again.

ABout color for you siggy's, there is only one way to do it in your edit siggy box and that's HTML. If you don't want to do that you can make it in a post box, add the color, then copy it and paste it in your edit siggy box.

Role playing games.
Role playing is exactly what it sounds like, you make up a character and a horse, like your favorite singer, and a horse from the internet or just someone you made up. It's like writing a story with a bunch of other people.

RPG Slang
RPG (Role Playing games)
OOC (Out of character)
BIC (Back in character)

Also if your new feel free to post a "Introduce yourself" Topic on horse talk. it's the best way to make new friends and get better known.

And if you need any more help that isn't on here, feel free to Pm me.

on the top left hand side of a topic or board (like horse talk) there's a button that says "new topic" or something like that.

Ok to make a new topic, on the top of the screen, above the post is this

Push new reply to reply to the post, and new topic to start your own.

I hope that helps!
