She hesitated, her eyes on him. "Not really. He left when I was about thirteen. I've seen him a couple times since then but he lives on his own somewhere. Evidently me and my parents weren't good enough for him." She said with a straight face.

"My dad left right after my mom got pregnant with my younger sister.." Brody said, unsure of why he was telling her this but wanting to fill the silent void, "..and then my mom was having some problems. She wasn't home a lot, and she was an alchoholic. And my older sisters were gone a lot too..usually hanging out with other guys.."
