What do I do to prevent a horse from bucking on trails? The bucks are small.
I'll be leaving YR. Bye, guys.

Figure out why he's bucking then start from there.
Is he just happy to be out on a trail?
Is his tack pinching?
Are you as the rider doing something that annoys him/makes him uncomfortable?
Are there other horses around him?
Does he not like the footing?

I actually haven't ridden him yet. On Monday, I will probably ride him on trails and then I can figure out why.

If you haven't ridden him then how do you know he bucks on trails? And if someone told you then maybe you should ask that person why he bucks.

Perhaps he's not used to being out of the ring so he's jittery. Go on trail rides at least once a week, but if his bucking gets dangerous get a trainer to ride him. He needs to know that nothing's gonna kill him.

He bucks with my friend. He is new to the stable so it may be because he's not used to the trails yet.
