But I am frustrated by the repeated response to all questions: "get an instructor and then do what the instructor says." Why can't we come here to seek other opinions? More answers to broaden our understanding? We know they aren't as "good" as our instructors answers-but they are from our peers, and have no financial basis. And why do some people seem only to judge the quality of other people's requests, and then refuse to answer if they do not like the question? This is hurtful and not productive.
I would ask those posters who are judging other riders' questions and then posting unhelpful responses, to consider what it would be like to be alone in your riding-no friends, no family with any knowledge, only one instructor, who wants diverse opinions from other young riders. Is it so hard to give her that help?
This forum allows young riders to have a voice, but by refusing to give a helpful answer, the posters are refusing to use that voice and are muting the voice of others.

And why do people feel comfortable giving critiques on other riders, they don't just say "ask your instructor," but they refuse to answer any other questions about lessons or training? So many riders take the criticism so well, with appreciation and explanations, not excuses, when warranted. Why can't that same attitude be taken to answering questions? EVERYONE on here is learning something-humility is a better policy than pretention.

I am so sick of seeing other riders' questions be dismissed as unimportant. Posters should either answer the question or ignore the post- not post something unproductive and in many cases, ride, commanding and hurtful. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!
