Ok so i posted this in horse talk but changed it and put here. I made a couple changes to it. and please tell me what you think and be totally honest!!!
Thanks!!! and if everyone likes it i am going to keep going on it!

I walked out of the school and there sat my dad in the car waiting for me. I got in the car and he said, “Your riding instructor Rebecca phoned and was wondering if you wanted to go to her stable and practice for the upcoming jumping show”.

I jumped at the thought of getting to ride Star that day and I said,
“Of course; if you don’t mind driving me!” I had been jumping Star for about three years now.

I tied Star to the post and skipped my way to the tack room for the grooming brushes. I grabbed my box of supplies and started grooming Star.

As I started tacking up, Rebecca came around the corner and she said, “We will practice jumping cross country today; we haven’t done much and with the upcoming show you should have some practice.”

“Sounds great! I just need to warm Star up first,” I said to her as I untied Star from the rail. I entered the arena and started warming Star up at a walk and trot.

We did this for about ten minutes when Rebecca called out, “Start to canter on the right lead then after about 3-5 minutes stop, back up, turn around and canter off on the left lead.” I started cantering and all was well. After I had cantered both ways Rebecca said, “Alright, I think Star is ready to jump. Let’s Go!”

Star was amazing on the cross country course I thought to myself as I walked back to Rebecca. As I approached Rebecca she said, “You and Star were great jumping today! Star has really improved since you started jumping her hasn’t she?”

“Yes! She has; a lot too! I hope we do well at the show this weekend.” Rebecca laughed and said, “There is nothing to worry about! Just go in there and be confident.”

*Three days later*

I started warming up Star and she was full of energy and was bucking a little bit and then I seen Rebecca coming with my show number! Good thing to because I had forgot about it!

“Here you might need this,” She said as she handed me the number and pins.

“This is number 239 Sarah Lane and her horse Stardust” the announcer said as I walked through the starting gate. The first event was stadium jumping. I inhaled and exhaled as I cantered Star off on the right lead. The first jump was a cross jump. I lifted out of my seat and Star jumped it! Yes I thought to myself, one down 7 to go. The next jump was a double oxer. We cleared it. A flying lead change then we cleared the vertical. Then I was lifting out of my seat for another double oxer and that’s when it happened.

I awoke in the hospital with doctors and family all around me. “What happened, why am I here?” I asked them.

Mom told me, “You lifted out of your seat for the second double oxer and Star stopped. You flew over her head and landed on the other side of the jump. You went unconscious.” I couldn’t believe that Star would do that now. We had come so far. I am going to have to start all over again I thought to myself.

I asked, “Where is Star? Is she alright?”

“She’s fine; Rebecca took her back to the stable and cared for her. Rebecca said she will stop by later.”

“Oh ok”, I said and then I fell back asleep and was hoping that they would wake me when Rebecca came.

How do you make outlined text?

How do you make the highlight around text?

How do you make glowing text?

How do you make the text so that it changes color with the background, but you can still tell the difference from it and the background?

How it works:

I use Photoshop Elements 7 and for reasons unknown to me it has more fonts on it when I'm using the laptop than the desktop, it was installed from the same disk. Does anybody know why this is happening?

Just to be clear; this isn't necessarily a competition, just something that y'all will hopefully have fun with and to use to improve your writing :).

How It Works:

-I'll post something like "Write about a noise that won't stop" to start off.

-The next person will write something (it could be a poem, a short story, or a "prose poem", if there's something I forgot then tell me) and post it. If you plan to take a while, but want to work on that particular idea, you might want to say "I call this one" and then edit what you wrote in when you're done. Try not to take days or anything, though. :)

-The next person will give the person above them a critique and another prompt, and so on.

Example: Me: Write about your first pet.

Person 1: Once upon a time I had a cat who's name was Phillis.

Person 2: I love the use of the name Phillis, but "once upon a time is a little cliche.

Write about someone who is pretending to be something or someone they are not.

Person 3: Once there was a teddy bear pretending to be a Nobel Prize winner for the sake of teatime with his owner.

And so on. Please, if you write a short story, give it a character or a plot. While I totally understand that writing without a plot or setting or characters can be fun, the whole purpose of this is to work on still having creativity within set boundaries. Also, it would be nice if you critiqued someone at least once before posting something of your own, if possible.

By the way, I know this was probably a little rambly and therefore confusing, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Have fun! :)

Changing a Picture From PSD to JPEG?

For some reason I have this banner that saved as a PSD and it will not become any other file. I tried saving it as a JPEG, JPG, etc. straight from photoshop. Nope. I tried going to a photo conversion website. They wouldn't support that type of file. What do I do?

Writing Critique.

Hey guys!
So, I kinda got bored today, and decided to write. And this is basically the end result. It's not very good, definitely not my best work. I will most definitely add to it, just because I enjoy writing it. But, I'm bored, so, critique it all you want. :) Here it is.:

Silence.

It billowed through the roofs, and echoed throughout the streets and doorways. There was nothing to be heard, nothing at all. It grew eerie, and thick with each passing moment.

It slowly begins to inhabit the dark night’s very own air, twisting it’s newly discovered way around. Colliding with the innocence of noise. Strangling it. Suppressing it, oppressing it until it is simply no longer.

Gone away went all the noises of the dreary night. Murdered by the essence of eerie silence.

Shadows.

The moon shone eerily throughout the trees growing rather thick in civilian’s yards. Reflecting upon the branches in the form of brilliant dark shadows, the dark snarling limbs, and tender shapes, traced away on the alluring rough gray asphalt of the street. The slender ferns, and twigs, painted upon the rocky streets, in shades of stretched out midnight black.

It paints over the tracks of previous tires, of drainpipes, litter, and fallen leaves. Stretching across the rough surface of the rough, currently undisturbed avenue.

Though it may seem mysterious, it’s still there painted upon the dreary streets, if you let enough light shine through. You’ll be a witness to the dark portraits of eerie, beautiful, mysterious shadows. A glorified gift from the thickets of trees.

Yeah, so critique it all you want, I know it's pretty suck-y. But I'm pretty bored, so yeah. Thanks in advance!
