NO, I am not ripping off anyone's ideas; I've played in one exactly like this a year and a half ago, and had been thinking of creating one far before a new one was made and it got deleted.
So, you must ask to join, and Lisa can deny you. xP

BE SCARED.

Anyways.
You have brought one of your most prized horses to compete in a Grand Prix, and it is present date to prevent confusion. Riders from all over the nation have come, it is 'the' Prix to go to; only the best of the best have made it this far to compete. Everything's going well, until a blizzard hits; and riders and their horses are snowed in for who knows how long. The barn the prix was being held at has a large clubhouse with showers, a kitchen, bathrooms, couches etc, that the riders and trainers are fortunate enough to be able to stay in. It is attached to the enclosed barn, which is why the riders can see their horse. xP HORSE, only one. But with these good of riders, unless they are from the same barn, and even still, it instantly makes them rivals. Will everyone work together to survive this blizzard, or will things go to hell?

Just tell me who you'd like to have your rider train with. I don't care, as long as there aren't more than two riders with the same trainer. If more than one person does not volunteer to be a trainer (even YOU lisa xP) it will not work.

From the outside, Moonshire looks like your regular barn. You have the pastures, the arenas, the winding trails, and the massive barn that currently resides about thirty five horses. From the outside, you would suspect nothing was wrong with the horses or people who currently board. They all looked normal, and the horses looked in fine shape.

This place they call Moonshire is far from normal on the inside though. Here's lies a place where hurt teens confide in one another. Here lies a place where damaged horses can learn to live. Here lies a place where love, compassion, and trust are learned through simple tasks. Here lies a place where 'dangerous' teens are sent, and through doubt, they just might learn that the word isn't that bad.

Please everyone play two horses.

You grew up in a large, friendly grassland, worry free as a foal and yearling. However, there was a roundup and you and many other horses were caught, sent to auction. The auction was cruel, many horses knowingly going out to kill buyers, or buyers who would literally work them to their death, or abuse them. You and several other horses were sold to Rushmore Acres, a very..unique barn, with many different disciplines. Rushmore is a total of 400 acres in the state of Wyoming. No one except it's residents know what goes on at Rushmore, however. It's more of a small horse community, really. Some of the horses may be trained as hunters, others may simply be work horses. Some may be loved on by little girls, others may be abused by their master. You may decide your fate, I think that'll suit everyone. xP Many things can happen at Rushmore.
OH! and if you start out with 'Moon looked out the stall door and sighed.' I will bite you. >:] Descriptive, interesting posts, please!

ESSENCE
The music industry is known for being one of the hardest to break. Tough competition from every angle awaits any wanna-be musician, from the money they just can't find or the talent they just don't have.
London is known for its hub of new musical talents, found in out-of-the-way clubs and singing on the slippery cobblestones corners. Many of this bands and singers sound the same, day in and day out. However, a quickly rising band, Essence, is different. Based on the harmonies of geniuses like the Beatles, Essence is unafraid to try anything, with their talented guitarist and wonderfully gifted vocalist. However, the three young males have a host of their own problems: from drugs to girls, they're falling a little too far into the musical scene.When their keyboardist dies tragically in a car accident, Essence is desperate for any keyboardist with talent, regardless of experience. However, the girl they end up with isn't... exactly... what they had intended.
A musical prodigy fed up with the world of classical music, she wants to embrace the grungy side of music, but is still a naive, sheltered girl. But, surrounded by the less-than-innocent members of Essence, will she rise to the challenge and make her own fame? Or will she pull Essence down with her classical training and naive attitudes?

Hillridge Park Equestrian Center
Here at Hillridge, we're known as the best equestrian center in North Carolina. Set on an outstanding 1,200 acres, there's no reason any horse enthusiast wouldn't want to come here. Bring your own horse, or use one of ours. We offer all disciplines, with experienced trainers for each. We have three large jumping arenas, two indoors, a roundpen, a western arena, spacious dressage arena, cross country field, and trails. We also have many paddocks and pastures, which your horse can be turned out by themselves or in a group. We offer lessons to anyone aged six and up. We attend all shows for all disciplines, from schooling shows to 'AA' rated. We even have a working student program, where any student can work off their lessons as long as they talk to the head trainer, Chris Matthews, beforehand. Pasture as well as stall boarding. We look forward to having you and your equine partner.

Rules/Info
I will play the head trainer, Chris Matthews, a hunter/jumper/equitation trainer. He'll also be sort of the barn manager type, feel free to have your character talk to him about any questions, problems, or concerns.
Up to two characters per person.
Up to three horses per character.
Drama is welcome. Examples can be rich vs. poor, western rider vs. English, etc, get creative.
Romance is welcome, but for some members, try to keep it more PG.
Please use proper spelling and grammar.
Type more than one sentence, and I'm saying this for newer members. Go in detail!
Not everyone is getting hurt all the time.
For some extra drama/entertainment, feel free to bring siblings into this; and this includes younger siblings aged six and up, so it's not the normal group of seventeen year olds. Feel free to make your own siblings, or ask someone if they'd like to make a sibling for your character.
Try to keep the guy/girl ratio even. If you're dying to have a girl and there are already three girls, make a guy as a second character. I may have to ask you to change you character to a guy/girl, though.
The only thing I want you to ask about is if you can be a trainer.

With everything from snow capped mountains and lush green meadows, to pristine lakes and rushing waterfalls, Switzerland is any person's dream town. Not only is it a nature enthusiasts haven, but it is also home to gorgeous and lively towns, and hot social scenes. 8 teens from all over the world gather here for one common purpose. Horses. But what comes along with this wonderful chance to work with what is most likely the world's greatest selection of Thoroughbreds? Running a buisiness. Coming into this job with the expectation of a little bit of work, and a lotta play turns out to be wrong. With the Esterhaven family's strange dissappearence, there is work to be done. The Chateu Du Tremblant is the hottest resort in Switzerland. Skiing and riding are only a few of the many activities. Being the sole managers of the resort, the teens quickly settle into a routine of working hard or not at all. But what did happen to the Esterhaven family?

Crooked River Ranch

Welcome to Crooked River Ranch! You are visiting for the summer to go to a Western Ranch camp where you will learn how to do all sorts of western things like, roping, reining, herding cows, good old plain western riding, and all sorts of other ranch skills as well. Your councilor and teacher for many things is the owners daughter (Jessie, me). All the ranch men know you are here to learn so they will be teaching you many skills, but what they don't know is that there is a herd of wild horses nearby that the campers have been watching. Will the soon-to-be cowgirls catch then tame a wild horse like they are planning and scheming to do? Join and find out now!!

Other info: The girls are ages 12-17. I know the age range is youngish (atleast compared to other RPGs) but thats what I decided it would be. We can start as the girls just get to the airport to be picked up :)

Facilities: There is a nice large pasture for the mares and one for the stallions, (although there are only a few stallions). Each pasture has a small shelter to keep the horses out of the wind and rain. A nice large yet simple barn is located at the hub of the ranch and has enough stalls for all of the horses. There is a bunkhouse for the ranch foreman and the hands. A cattle guard bridge goes across the river which runs in front of the ranch. The ranch house is where the owner of the ranch, his wife, his son and his daughter (to be decided) live (Jessie only stays there when campers aren't there). You will be staying in a nice cabin with room for 6 girls, one of them being your councilor. The cabin has a bathroom with showers in it, as well as an extra lounge room/possible dining room inside it.

All of the horses the girls will be using are the ranch's already owned horses but I will let you make up a horse for your character to use. A ranch person will assign you the horse you made, so it will be yours for the RPG. There are several other horses at the ranch which everyone can use if it is needed. Please, no stallions for the campers, geldings and mares only. (the guys can have stallions if they truly wish)

Although there are no guy campers, the ranch owner has a son who is around the age of the girls (someone can play him) and two of the hands are also around the girl's ages. Everyone can play the other wranglers/owners of the ranch but don't let any one of them become your character. :)

A Wild Horse Roleplay

The human race has left the Earth. But the world is moving on, and, except for a few slowly-crumbling cities, the wildlife has no memories of them. Packs of once-domesticated dogs run feral through the forests, once almost-extinct species have returned, and horses run wild. The world is in full bloom.

Among this fresh new Earth, a rivalry has begun between two herds. They are small herds comparatively to some of the groups that share the central plains, but their fury is great. Horses have died, and are dying. Can the herds draw their enmity to an end before it is too late? Or will they destroy each other—one by one?

I see a world totally unlike that I have known of before, filled with long, yellow grass, crystal water, houses made of animal skins, and horses, strange horses, splattered with paint, as if Da Vinci had painted them himself ...

So read an excerpt from the journal of Dr. Charles Smith, a wealthy traveler that had set out for the plains of east Colorado. He had known about the red ones; rogue Indians with hatchets and bows and arrows wanted for manslaughter back home in the civilized part of newfound America. A bold gent, however, he continued his journey, coming to make peace with the surrounding tribes, mostly in the name of the Lakota.

There are two groups set in the Lakota tribe. The appalled ones, shocked that white people they had scarcely heard of had come to invade their home, and the others, the ones that welcomed the strangers into their home, showing them hospitality, and their customs.

Then, things turn serious. The Doctor asks to take home a few of your precious horses, part of your family since birth. Most that were welcoming before vehemently reject, and things take a turn for the worst. Charles is killed, along with his crew. Some fear guns the white people carried, and prepare to move.

Sometimes things happen for a reason. Sometimes people move away for an answer. Sometimes people come together to figure stuff out. A long time ago, Feather Oak Academy was a large school with much competition, mainly in the sport of equestrians. But then when a fire consumed almost all of the property, students were forced to find another option. Parting ways, they almost forgot their fellow friends. But then, four years later when they are in their last year of school, they will go back to the new and improved Feather Oak Academy and find each other. Romance, heartbreaks, happiness, sorrow, joy, grief, and so much more will come into this, breaking competition, creating more than what once was.

D'Aubigne's record is stunning, as is their facility, equipped with a twenty-stall barn, cross country course, showjumping arena, dressage ring, and sixty acres of pasture. All in all, for a competitive, talented rider, D'Aubigne is the place to be.
Currently, D'Aubigne is looking for their next group of young riders for their competition team and getting accepted is only half of it. It's a hard and tedious road these teens follow, but for some, it will be worth it in the end.
Of course, obstacles stand in the way of the riders, and it's not just the lost hairnet or lame horse. As the riders' ability grows, so do they. D'Aubigne realizes this, and strictly outlaws any romance within the team or with any of the grooms. It's unlikely this will be as easy as it seems.

Faraway Farms is a high class, high-caliber hunter jumper barn located near Monterey, CA just a quarter mile from the beach. They are seen at all the big shows, including HITS, Pebble Beach, and on the Florida winter circuit, and have turned out many Olympians and USPCA-Maclay winners.

You were selected by a scout and recieved an invitaion to join the barn for the summer season, which you accepted. There is one scolarship spot. There is also one groom spot. PM me if you wish to reserve a spot. There's one catch: if you want to stay on past August, you have to be the best of the best. (Tutors are provided for those who make the end-of-summer-season cut.)

This means there's plenty of competition, snarkieness, and even sabotage. Snobs abound, secret romances blossom, and competition is fierce. There are plenty of strong alliances to be made and fun to be had, however. Will you forge the right bonds, or be left hanging at the last minute? Is your riding up to the test? Will your horse survive the rigors of frequent competition, or WILL YOU BE SENT PACKING? We'll see.
