I drive to with my clydesdale. it is a lot of fun. the people we bought him from drive a team of clydes.

how do you do dressage in a cart?

Easy.
You can first train them to do driving dressage with ground-driving so they get the concept. It's like teaching a riding horse to do Dressage. Except you dont really do those fancy movements-it's somewhat hard to do a sidepass in a cart. xD But you can do lower level-at least walk/trot. Driving associations make their own tests also.

hi hi hi,

i drive ride and show a clydesdale, SAM. it took me a while to learn how to harness but then i got it down and it is so much fun!!

my friend audrey shows her mini with me and everyone thinks it halarious because the smallest horse and the biggest horse go showing together.

I drove a Saddlebred once, and it was really fun, you should definitely try it.

we do a lot of driving out at the barn, but for some reason i have just never liked it. when i am conditioning our driving horse i am always wishing that i could be on the back of a horse. but its cool and all just not for me....

I don't know how to drive but my mini does. Hows the best way to start? Going to a clinic or asking people you know that know how to drive teach you??

I want to drive drafts sooo bad!!!! Like belgians and percherons!!!! We have a half belgian and my uncle wants to teach my paint to pull a small cart or something.

I drive. I compete and all in open and 4-H shows with my leased mini Teddy. =D He's freaking awesome. I'm starting to train a donkey to drive ( a mini one of course xD)
And to the above post it doesnt require that much patience, in my opinion. You just have to know the ropes and all.

yupp, the only reason i said that was because i was dealing with a bratty mini stallion who would buck, rear, and bite every time you tried to touch him.

Lol, my bad! But, that's a mini stally. You're normalyl going to have problems with them, but at least it's ot as bad as normal sized horses, lmao. My friend who i lease Teddy from just got back their other stally Nickel, and because he's a stally he's a total butthead for the most part. xD

driving is so much fun! we show drafts, mostly percherons in 4 horse hitch, 6 horse hitch, and the 'unicorn' driving classes.

We had to get a HUGE harness because he's so fat, and when he loses pretty much thousands-not really lmao-of punds we'll get a better one xD

Cool! We sometimes have obstacle and cone courses at the county Fair for the people in the Open Pony show with minis and stuff. It's funny because we dont do it for just competing we do it for laughs. xDDD
I would like to dry driving dressage one day...

I am looking into doing driving but I don't know anything about it is it fun? is it hard?
