But do have someone (vet, dentist, etc.) look at his teeth.

RE: Docky Boy always has his tounge sticking out!

oh gosh thats so sad^^

anyways yea i'd had the dentist come check him out.

RE: Docky Boy always has his tounge sticking out!

I rode a horse once that always stuck his tounge out. He did it because when he was young, he was put in a really hard bit with someone with hard hands. Initially, he stuck it out because he was avoiding the pain, but eventually the nerves in it died. Now it is just always hanging out because he can't feel or control it.

RE: Docky Boy always has his tounge sticking out!

Teeth issue, or I swear some just do it to be cute. "OOHH LOL THATS FUNNY, HAVE AN APPLE" xD.

RE: Docky Boy always has his tounge sticking out!

If he does it all of the time, get the dentist out and have his teeth floated. He probably has sharp edges somewhere or something, that are hurting him when he holds his tongue normally. If his teeth are fine, then I'd have the vet take a look at him.?
If he only did it while you were riding, then I'd say to change his bit, because horses do that when their bit doesn't fit, or is causing them pain, or you've overbitted them with something too harsh, but if he does it all of the time, then it's probably more of a health issue I would think.

Docky Boy always has his tounge sticking out!

HI
Ok well this horse thatI ride well we a really good relationship with eachother always has his tounge sticking out even when we are riding.
