What is your favorite horse breed and why? Mine is Friesian because of there stunning black color, they are so beautiful, they are not often thought about, plus there very unique! Please add some unique breeds not often thought of too so I can learn more breeds of horses!!!

Imagine you had to pick one breed that you'd work with for the rest of your life. That means riding, training, and just being around! One breed only.

I'd pick the Connemara. Every Connie I've met has been sweet, dependable, sound, hard-working, and remarkably talented.

If you could take any two breeds in the whole entire world, and cross them, what would you cross?

I would cross a clydesdale and a mini in hopes of getting a clydesdale that is miniature sized.

I love them and they are great horses to own, love, and ride. They do tend to be hard to groom tough... trust me.

So, I'm not talking about the overly stocky ones or the dead WP horses I just want to know if anybody rides them and what they do with them.

I own 2 and my granpda owns one. I ride WP and hunter jumpers with Sampson and Doc is a retired jumper and cutting horse. Cody, my grandpa's horse is a trail horse. I'm working on some basic dressage with Sampson as well. I love how versatile they are and Iv'e just grown up with them and really enjoy working with them =]

Yeahhh, I like 'em!
Rhythm is a TB/Oldenburg cross.
He gets the pinto coloring from his dad's side.
I love them because they really stand out - in a good way obviouslyyy.
Like, Rhythm is probably gonna get judged against his color and all, but he definitely makes up for his with his movement...which is what would make him a great hunter.
Once he's old enough, we'll start showing him in the hunters for around a year or so, and then once he's got enough of that under his belt, we'll switch him over to jumpers.

Is yourr horse a Warmblood of Color, or do youu just like them in general?

I have found and heard of some people who love qh but hate paints and this makes me a bit angry because paints are just qhs with spots. Can anyone tell me why this is?

Here is a 1 in a million horse! She Loves kids,loves attention and bombproof!

SHe is trained for halter/showmanship,western pleasure(neck reins)(AWESOME AT WESTERN PLEASURE!!), and basic english!

SHe CAN be ridden (link says she can't) only under certain circumstances!

Trakehner Question

Has anyone else ever heard of them tripping a lot? xD Axel and Tailor are both half Trakehner, and they tend to not know where their feet are sometimes. Tailor's worse about it, he's actually gone down on his face with people on him, but none of the other horses at my barn trip without a reason. One time when I was riding Axel we were walking to cool out and he stumbled a bit, and this chick that was watching asked if he was a Trakehner because she'd heard that they trip a lot. just wondered if there was any validity to that statement, or if we just happened to end up with two clutzy horses :P

I've been working with haflingers lately, and I've noticed that most of them are sweet and eager to please, but the one I was assigned is a brat. Don't get me wrong... I love him, I just noticed that he is more moody than the others. What do you think is most typical of a haflinger's disposition??
