When I bought my first saddle, the person was trying to do the same thing to me, and since me and my mom were both unexperianced at the time, we almost took her word for it (until my coach said that it was the wrong saddle). Anyways, if you are going to be doing ANY jumping at all, GET A CC. Plus, don't forget, you'll want this saddle to last you years. Think in 5 years from now - will you have a new horse? Will you be showing? Will you be jumping? Will someone else want you to ride (and jump) their horse (fyi, you will need your own saddle for that). You will not be able to do that in an AP.

RE: Saddles im looking at

HobbyHorse101 (10/5/2008)
I would go with a CC you are jumping twice a week and you may want to go higher. My cc works just fine for flat work, and an all purpose saddle teaches you to jump in the wrong position.

ye now that i think about it, a old passier, stubben or courbette cc would work better..

if you wanted somthing newer, you could go with collegiate, thornhill(be carful with one you get though) or even HDR..

RE: Saddles im looking at

Get the Tad Coffin, they are really comfortable. Which do you like better in terms of feel? I like the feel of the CC better for myself, but the AP can be really comfy. Don't just take her advice-find out why she thinks an AP will suit better.
I like the pics of the first and second ones better, but it really should come down to how you feel in them and how you fit in that saddle.

First of all, Welcome :)
And she said, since i dont show to to much (next year hopefully about 6-7 times), and only jump with MJ 2 times a week and not to high(really no higher than 2'6, rarely a bit higher), and i trail ride alot and do lots of flat work. But idk...gots to think.

M.J. Finally she emailed back saying 'i didnt know you paid, to what acount and what is your address?'
OMG lady we talked about it FOREVER and everything. so basically my mom flipped at her and demanded her money back.
