so, i had everything typed up that you guys could need to know, and my computer locked up, and i had to turn it off, and im not typing all that up again, so ill summarize:
i fell off powder over the weekend because he bolted and i tried to circle him, and i know he wont be ready for show season this year, and in all honesty, he's just not safe to ride anymore.... sooo: we're trying out this pony this coming weekend, and i got my pony club rating on her, so i've ridden her before, and i really just need a good pony that i can do starter-beginner novice for a few years on, soo:

The dark sinister eyes, flying hoofs, and wild mane flashed before the girl. The dark bay screamed with fury, teeth bared, and reared up. She screamed, where was her precious pony Roxy? What had this demon horse done with her? Then it happened, she slipped and fell. Looking up she saw two hoofs coming down on her and then darkness...
Hanna bolted up right in bed. Her hair was plastered to her head, sheets of sweat pored down her face, soaking her bed. Why was this dream houting her? Why did it keep coming back to her and who was the horse that had taken the place of her pony Roxy? Was Roxy OK? Then laughing she told herself that Roxy was in her stall in the barn, behind the house. There was nothing to worry about. It was just a dream but something told her otherwise...
... Meanwhile, the barn went cold and a smoky smell over powered the ponies. Roxy snorted and rolled her eyes in fear. Swinging her head over the stall door she looked down the aisle way. There were six stalls in all, three on each side. Her stall was in the middle, sandwiched in between Lightning and Clover. Acrose from her was the Shetland pony, MR. Magic. He was normally trying to get out of his stall at this time but instead he stood there trying to crain his neck to see Trixie who was stabled to his left. Roxy could see her the poor thing was shaking in the far corner of her stall. Then her eyes were drawn to the stall right of Magic. It was an empty stall. It always had been, even before she and her rider moved in. Fixing her eyes on the vacant stall Roxy noticed that the smell of smoke was coming from its open door. Why had she not noticed that before? There had been plenty of times this had happened, every few weeks or so, but never this bad or long. Then as Quickly as the Chilly air and smoky smell had come it vanished into thin air. Their barn usual atmispher returned. Then letting her eyelids droop she tried to rest, but she could not forget the smell and creepy feeling that continually reacure.

So i've slowly been looking for a new horse,I found this one what do you think?

appendix quarter mare 15h, dead broke, no vices

Melody is a very nice mare. She is an Argentina bred appendix quarter mare that was bred for Polo and showed for 6 years. She was purchased 5 years ago for $20k from California and brought to Blank County. She competed for two years and then went into the brood mare string. She is very refined and even crossed with their larger stallion did not throw foals that were of big enough size for thier industry. She has just weaned her foal and is ready for a new home. She does not have papers, but is 13 years old and about 15h. She is current on feet, vetting, and deworming, although I doubt if she has ever had her teeth done and would recommend it before winter this year. I brought her here to wean for them and sell her for them so that she doesn't end up in an auction house as they want her to have a good home but do not have the time to find her one. This is a VERY quality mare. Do not let her price fool you. She just needs a home soon and the market is flooded so at this price we can be choosey about who gets her. She is fully trained western and english, not herd bound and will canter away from other horses, not afraid of traffic. She can sit forever and pull out of the field and go for a ride. She has been here for a week and a half now and I have ridden her 4 times and had a few others ride her as well. I feel she would be fine for any level of rider and excellent horse to learn on if you are just starting out. She will lope from a walk and is very smooth like a pleasure horse at the trot and canter. She ties, bathes, loads, clips etc. I do not have room to keep her here long term as I am doing this pro bono for them, so the first person that is horse savvy that can offer her a good home, she goes to. Horses?

This probably could have gone in English Riding, but I figured it would get more replies here.
I am looking for Dressage (Needs to have shown in dressage or have had experience in the discipline) Geldings 7-13 years old. Basically, I need a calm, good tempered horse.
I'm 5'3, about 100-105 lbs., so nothing too big. I'm an intermediate rider, I have a strong seat, but i'm still a little new to english.
Around Austin TX area, please.

People who reply with horses get double chocolate chip cookies:) If you need more info, feel free to ask.

So I wrote this the day Haiti had their earthquake; it was inspired mostly by that event, but also about just the...irony of thigs. -shrug-

I haven't written a full song since then, so I figured I'd go back and study my own style to at least attempt to get back into it xP So help. Thanks.

The underlining/bold is just something I do that might inspire other songs from things I say in one, etc. I can't explain how my mind works.

I've come up with a new ideas for my style of banners, though I'm not saying I'm switching completely, I'd like to know what you'd guys think. They're the 'virtue banners', and I honestly just played around with them. I don't care if you hate them, just opinions/critiques. The last one's my least favorite, I didn't have a good picture to use. None of the pictures are recent, the second one I found off the internet. (The base picture of the horse, nothing else, not the coloring or effects.)

From OHSET this weekend. I'll have dressage and huntseat up later. We won't qualify for state this year in anything, but that's fine. OHSET is similar to 4h, just a lot pricier, and for highschoolers only, plus you have 3 meets, not one, and I personally see it as a lot more specialized.

I'm going to ask that you don't critique him, or the refusals. I understand he's sprawly and on the forehand, I've been trying in ernest to fix that. Critique my writing please.

So this was the result of an assignment from my Language arts teacher.
She instructed us all to write something deep.
I sort of went with it.....but I'm really unsure how I did with the rythm, choice of words, and flow. Poetry isn't really my thing, but I've been dealing with a lot lately, so it just sort of came? It was sort of a de-stressing tool, and made me feel a bit better yet somehow worse after I wrote it...

Idk what to do with punctuation

Silent Thoughts

The night loomed
and with it
came the silent and intracate thoughts
that were unable to be stopped.

She was.....so broken.
Smart
Clever
Quiet
Beautiful

But with her human life
came that terror that shattered her mind
into the depths of her consciousness.

With her human life
came something unspoken

The ability to think "why"
was given.
The very consciousness of something
greater than herself.

A reason to think of her very existance.

So she silently thought to herself
and let her mind be taken
into the pandemonium of realizations.
Of self war
Fear
Pity
Happiness

And she stayed silent.
Feelings that couldn't
wouldn't
be put into words.

Observations of something so vast
she was unable to grasp it.
All was lost
she realized.

No human would be able
to completely grasp the concept.
But she tried....
and tried again.

Coming so close
so close
To that missing piece.
The answer to "why"

But she failed.
And with that failure
came the silent sobbing
along with her silent thoughts.

It's kind of a downer. Not like Im depressed or anything, but its sort of how I felt when writing it. So yeah, harsh is good. I want to become a better writer, and the best way to do it is constructive criticism....

New Horse

Alright, so, I've been talking with my mom lately, and since our board actually just got lowered, we've been discussing getting another horse. Now, I do understand I have a rather wide range of horses in age, height, breed, and current discipline, but I have a wonderful trainer who is willing to help me, and I have enough experience on starting horses into a new area. I'm an advanced intermediate rider, as in I may not have picture perfect eq, but I know how to ride, and can sit out many antics and overall naughtiness. I'd be using the horse for some trails, as in 15 minute ones, English, possibly some Western for my mom (not peanut-roller), and jumping up to 2'6. I do show, but it isn't very competitive.

So this is from my lesson this weekend. I rode a school horse, Chip.
I know that's he's slowwwwwww. But he's used to being like, a beginner w/t horse mostly, that is only made to trot that slow, so it was hard getting him to go any faster. XD Fence why my legs are like, constantly bugging him at the trot. But besides the fact that my legs move a lot at the trot, what else?
