Falling off pony crashing into wall :| That one hurt so muchhh.
Oh and when I fell off Taylan, I put out my arm and ended up scooping dirt all over my face, in my mouth, ears, nose, Yah it's was itchyy.

Mushu black pony, was trotting really slow so, my instructor whipped him so he BOLTS into a canter. I have NO IDEA how I fell off. I may have slipped off the side, the front or the back. I just remember a BANG and laying flat on my back. I must have passed out for a second because I didn't know how I fell off.

A few months ago, I was riding this big, fat, lazy TB, Riser. I turned him to a teeny crossrail, and he was going waay to slow so I was kicking him and, without realizing it, digging my heels into his belly. He got mad and jumped it too early and incredibly awkwardly. He sorta stopped for a second, then took off in this huge leap. I wasn't expecting it, and my heels were up, so I popped out of the saddle and over his shoulder. We were in midair, so I wrapped my arms and legs around his neck until he stopped, then let go and fell on my butt. He stopped and looked at me sitting on the ground, looking incredibly confused at how I ended up down there.

I was on Welly. My friend Lyndsay was going to ride Axel, so she had him out in the hallway tacking up. I was just cooling out, so we were walking around the arena. Axel spooked and bolted down the aisle and ran out the door. Dawn called in for everyone to dismount because there was a loose horse. I took my foot out of the stirrups, and right as I was swinging my leg over her back Welly decided to spook xD She bolted across the arena and I landed on my butt. It was pretty funny.

Funniest: When my friend was trying to get up behind me (I was bareback on my old horse Spirit) And she wrapped her arms around my waist and basically pulled us both into a snowbank. That's what happens when a 14 year old puts all her weight onto an eleven year old on an arab that's shaped like a barrel!

I was warming Hunter at a show at our barn, I was bareback, in a halter (ok, ok, not quite a true warm-up but oh well) and I had put too much Showsheen on her. Some stupid person was setting up and EZup in the wind right next to the arena, and Hunter spooked, started cantering, and I slid off. Then one of the trainers saw and totally freaked. It was really embarassing.

I was riding one of my trainer's green horn horse over some jumps. The saddle for him was way to small and the but strap was to tight. So when I encouraged him into a canter it slid forward and the poor horse freaked out and started bucking like a bronco horse. When I landed, I looked up and he was looking at me like "What the heck was that for?" (I got in trouble and had to clean the tackle for the whole barn the rest of the day.) That was definitely the most stupid fall ever. =)

...I feel really pathetic for this one.

At my old barn, I was sitting on this pony named Hannah in the middle of the arena, bareback, while another girl was jumping, and her OTTB spooked and did a cat-jump over this little vertical, and I turned around to see w.tf just happened just and I slid off... Hannah was about to take off too so I kinda bailed :/

Mine would be the first time I ever fell. :D My first trail-ride as well. xDD I was walking along this grassy stretch behind my instructor and her horse, and I was a beginner. Biscuit started trotting and pulled his head down to eat, and I just flipped over his neck and fell off. xDDD Stupid fall.

ok well one day i was trying to get on my mare bareback but she would stand still by the mounting block so i got her as close as i could and tried to jump onto her but that really didnt work so well. i jumped completely over her and landed in the dirt. it was very funny.

I had my legs up in front of the saddle because I was tightening my girth, and I let some slack in the reins because we were standing still, and my pony dropped his head and started eating. I slid all the way down his neck like i was on a slide, and since my girth was undone, the saddle fell off. And then my trainer laughed at me for falling off before the lesson even started. :))

Well one time I was riding cherokee (a little devilish pony) bareback and I asked him to trot but he decided he would rather walk so he did a small little buck and I pretty much just flung forward and then slid off the side. Cuz it was small... but that doesnt make him any less devilish!! lol

And this isnt really a fall but its hilarious!! We were doing this relay just for the fun of it where we would ride down to a barrel, dismount, walk around the barrel, mount back up, ride around the barrel and ride back. I was riding mystery man. So Mystery man decided to follow me around the barrel when i dismounted and when i tried to make him stand still he decided just to ditch me. Yea so he took off down the arena riderless and everyone was just cracking up because i was just standing there with this "what the heck!" look and he was just trotting toward the gate just waiting for someone to let him out!! I was like, "you butt!!" lol

This is about my friend Taylor. When we jump at our barn, we have one or two jumps and go one at a time. Taylor was riding the pony Jelly Bean, nicknamed the jumping bean. Anyway, Taylor kicked her 6 feet before the jump and JB lept over the jump like super pony. She almost fell off but Taylor managed to stay on.

Well, I'm kind of a klutz, so I tend to have ridiculous falls. Especially when I ride my friend's adorable, yet devilish, Welsh pony.

So I was riding Cosmo-pony western, and my instructor bet me that I couldn't get off on the wrong the side. I thought I could, but as usual--I was wrong. I wasn't used to lifting my left leg like that, and I also wasn't used to having to bring my leg up higher to get over the western saddle. I did a weird trip thing over the cantle and ended up in a puddle on the ground.

The next day, I was riding Cosmo bareback! And in the same, muddy corner of the arena (you'd think I'd learn to stay away from puddles), my friend and I tried running up a couple of strides and leaping onto the pony. The poor pony--I would have spooked, but he was really good. Anyway, Cosmo is a little pony...and I have a big jump. I made it onto him...but I kept going and (again) landed in the mud puddle on the other side. Yay for mud and ponies!

I actually laughed out loud =D

I had another stupid fall. I was riding Prancer the other day and I was posting. Well all of a sudden I flew out of the saddle!! Prancer looked at me like why in the world are you down there?

I've had a few wacky tumbles, but this one is probably the funniest:

I was riding a huge horse, probably about 16.1 - 16.2. I had only been riding for maybe four months, and we were trotting. My instructor had us do some exercises, like reaching to touch the horse's ears, tail, the sky, and our toe. I was so unbalanced at the toe-reaching part at the time that I, and I quote, "Reached for your toe and kept on going."
At least I landed on my feet :D

It was maybe my second week of riding (ever), and as I was trotting, I posted a little too high and next thing I know, I'm on my butt in the dirt.

That and the time that I went to tighten my reins (while turning for some reason O_o) and I just slid off.

None of my falls are terribly exciting, but occasionally they're incredibly stupid.

My funniest fall was one year ago. I was riding with my friends Wyatt and Hunter (I have this hugh crush on Hunter.) I was riding a pony named Mary, and she is like 12 hh. I was riding in a saddle that was way to small for me and I was also using sport reins which I am not used to because I ride w/ split reins. Hunter had this great idea, playing tag while riding!! Well, it would have been fun but their horses are like over 15hh!! So I was ''it'' and was not doing to well. Wyatt and Hunter's horses where like 20 feet infront of me, and then they took off at a gallop and got way a head of me. Mary was not happy that she was getting left behind so she took off at a gallop and was about to catch up w/ the other horses when I bounced out of the saddle and ended up on her butt. I was not going to fall off infront of the guy I like, so some how I pulled myself back into the saddle. I got my feet back in the sturrups but then Mary took off again, ran past the other horses, and started running like something was about to eat her. I almost fell out of the saddle again and decided that there was no way I could stay in the saddle with the way she was acting. I then decided I was going to jump off gracefully but it didn't work. I forgot to take my right foot out of the sturrup!!! So I was like hanging down from the saddle with my hand dragging the ground! Some how I got my foot out of the sturrup and slid into a bush!! Hunter was really impressed. He said I looked like one of those trick riders!!!

Sorry I made this so long!!! All that I wrote above happened in 5 minutes.
PS sorry if it sounded like a story or what ever but my mom proof read it so I had to fix somethings (she is a teacher)

just last weekend i was riding a cute little white pony named dustin, i decided to canter, even though i knew it was dumb cuz he HATES being alone in the indoor (like no other horses) it was just me and my brother so yeah... he took off with me, reared, and i stayed on, then bucked, and by the third buck i was flying... i flipped in the air somehow and landed on my tailbone, i turned around and to my brother and said "did u get that on tape!?!?!?" and then realised he was cracking up... problly my funniest and most painful fall, i wasn't able to walk for two days!!!

Mine would have to be on stryker which is the half arab i rode before i bought george. I was cantering and he liked to pull me in to the corner so he did this time and i fell forward and was holding on to his neck hanging on the side. This freaked him out so he kept cantering around in a circle but i held on for about three laps. I tried to get him to stop but he wouldn't so i found a nice soft spot and let go. When i was on the ground my instructor and i started laughing.

Hmmmm.. Mine would have to be my first fall. I was riding my old lease Arab bareback w/a halter around the property after I had given him a bath - there was a show tomorrow - and he was still wet and slippery. All of a sudden a car came up the driveway really fast and skidded to a stop right beside him. Being an Arab, he freaked out and JUMPED about 6 feet sideways, I slipped right off his wet back and landed underneath the car. Visions of my head being squished under the car flashed through my mind, but all I ended up doing was breaking my wrist. Which sucked, because I didn't get to go to the show! Also, the lady in the car got out and started SCREAMING her lungs out at me about how I "couldn't handle animals" and I had "no idea what I was doing" while she had been the one who stupidly pulled up right next to my horse.

Well i was 5 and i was learning to canter(english) and my teacher just happened to put me on a speedy horse. She told me to sit back and act like the horse was a rocking horse! So i squeezed and sat back well my horse(Hazy) started cantering well i couldn't sit to his beat and so my next instinct was to stand up(i thought since i can't sit to his beat why don't i try to be a jocky?) Well that didn't work cause instead of going into the 2 point like the jockeys did(and i didn't jump at this point so i didn't know what to do) i just stood up! My teacher was yelling at me to sit down but everytime i tried i could't! so i just kept on standing and there was another rider at the end of the arena just sitting there parrallel with the fence and i thought my horse would just go around but he stopped dead in his tracks! So since i was standing up i kept going! I did fall off but this is how!:

I grabbed onto his neck somehow and i flipped myself down onto the ground and i landed on my feet! It was interesting! No everytime i go head first off of a horse that is my first instinct to flip myself down like that! My friend is jealous i can do that and she wants me to teach here how but i don't really know how i learned it!lol!

Well in my 3 years of riding I've only fallen off once yippee anyway that one fall was kinda funny and stupid. So i rode this new horse it was like my 3rd lesson and i was terrified of her and my trainer (I left this barn cuz i hated this trainer) started chasing her to make her trot and she took off and I screamed and she went even faster then she turned the corner and i kinda flew off and then I hit the fence and fell to the ground, next thing i new my mom was looking at me on the ground asking me what hurt. it was a bad fall and I was all bruised up for weeks but it was funny and stupid especially picturing my horrible old trainer chasing the horse screaming and slapping her legs lol

One time I was riding Sadie in the next door barely field and she wasn't used to being alone so long so she turned and broke into a flat out run turned a corner and thats when I fell.

I was riding english at my neighbors house(like a year ago). It was my 3rd lesson ever, and the saddle started slipping(Apparently she didn't put the girth tight enough?). So I didn't know the saddle was slipping, and it was all the way sideways by the time I noticed. We were trotting, and she is tall, but I sorta just came off and landed. I don't really remember if it was my butt or my hands...

I was shaken up..., because I don't like it when people fuss over me. They were like "Are you okay???!?!" Im just like "Yeah" but when people make a fuss I start crying so yup.

Thats not really funny...or stupic, but thats the only time I ever fell off a horse (so far.)

Well, i haven't really had any funny or stupid ones because I have really good balance[but when I used to have a pony he would always duck and I would fall every single time

I know I'm stupid right now and this doesn't count but I was leading my moms horse in her stall when it was feeding time but my mom always takes off her halter and then her horse walks in but i led her in the whole way and she saw her food and kept walking and knocked me down. I almost go trampled lol

when i was 10 i was riding my little pony T.J. I was trotting in some tall green grass and all of a sudden he jerked his head down! me and my saddle flipped over his head! luckily i was by myself so nobody saw me!

1) i was riding my friends horse western when i usually ride english. her horse was really bouncy and the stirrups were way too long, i started posting to feel more comfortable.(bad idea) one stirrup came unbuckled and fell of the saddle. i didnt really notice it was off, until i went up again, with most of my weight in the foot without a stirrup. i slid off his back and landed on my side on the ground.
2) i was riding a really spooky mare, velvet, and she wouldnt canter. right as a car pulled up, i kicked her really hard. she took off galloping, and when the car door slammed she stopped and bucked, i flipped over her head and landed on my butt. she did it two more times during that lesson, and i fell every single time.
3) i dont know how this happened, but one minute i was going over an oxer on riser, and the next i was flat on my back on the ground, and he was looking down at me like "what are you doing on the ground?" i was wondering the same thing.

*sighs* You just had to post this. Well I've got 3 (ok I have like a million but only posting 3)

1. Last week on my best friends pony bareback. This thing was so short you could put one leg on her back you were on. Well i did that for the 5th time that day. Only the pony took off sideways and I fell on my butt. She still hasn't stopped teasing me about it.

2. Month or two ago on my horse bareback. I got on everything was fine. We started to lope a wasp stung him in the chest. He pulled his head down as fast as he could flipping me over his head and landing on my feet.PERFECT! THEN the reins got tangled around my left arm....he reared up and dragged me about 3 yards.

3. About 3 months ago on my horse bareback. We were walking and a deer took off through the woods. He FLIPPED OUT running sideways. I fell flat on my back from my 16.2 horse and had to walk 1/2 mile uphill back home to go catch him and find that I now had a broken rein. <--(That I bought 2 days before for $35)

OK sorry its soooo long but you know.... AND my horse is 16.2 so it always hurts.

i was still at my first barn and i was leasing a horse named Cas. we were just walking around the ring and i wasn't thinking or anything, and suddenly i just started sliding to the side. i still don't know how it happened. i was even riding him with a saddle, at a slow walk, and Cas is a calm old - almost 20 - horse. it was really funny:P thankfully, nobody was looking...Cas just stopped and watched me like i was crazy

Haha i never fall off. but the other day i was just soo out of it. LOL. He went one way at a WALK and i looked the other way.. and i slid off. I started laughing at myself it was so funny and stupid. lol. He gave me a "youve got to be kidding me look". Thats when you know you should have never gone to the barn that morning. lol.

the funniest fall was when my mom was riding my horse and she was stupid enough to get on with rubber boots that u would use to wash ur horse anyways a bird flighs up from under my mom and my horse spooks and rears up but my moms foot was already out so she fell off and my horse is so caring that she was running like crazy trying to finnd my mom and when my horse was running around she slipped in the mud and got my saddle all dirty sorry that was so long

i have a few funny falls , the first one i was on this little pony phoneix, and he likes to stop at certain conners and we were trotting along the rail and he just stopped at the same corrner every time, we had gone around 3 times , then my trainer told me to walk a few laps because he was getting tired, and then my BFF came cantering by on the pony i was riding's BFF and Phenoix ( my pony) is a big follower and decided to be dumb and start to gallop, then i was on the ground.

the second one i was on a green pony and flipped over a jump, it hurt

and the other one i was trying to get on this HUGE horse by myself and i got one foot in the stirrup and then was bringing my leg over and then i have thoes stirrups with the little rubber band thingie that pops off if your like falling or somthing so u dont brake ur ankle and it popped off and then i fell to the other side, (the horse was just looking at me like i was crazy)

The most stupidest fall was when my mom was riding my horse. My horse ,Snipper, was standing there and all of the sudden out of no where a bird flew up from under Snipper. My mom of course was waring the worst shows to hold her in the saddle(a black pair of rubber boots used when we wash our horses). So her feet sleep out and she falls of the back of Snipper. Snipper is a really caring and AWESOME horse. So, knowing her she goes running like crazy trying to find my mom and slips in the mud. My mom did go to the hospital because she has a horrible hip and falling off didn't help at all but, it was a lesson well learned.

When i rode western, the horse I rode was a barrel horse. It was only like my 5th lesson so I wasn't exactly ready to gallop around the barrels yet, but i eventually would. Anywho, When I kicked the horse into a canter he took of towards the barrel and went around it and knocked the barrel over. I started to pull on the reins because I was scared. I was only nine at the time. He reared, landed and took off again, only this time left me behind. :)

when we were training Banjo as a breakway roper he saw a plastic bag right when i threw my rope and flipped got him self all tangled up in the rope and sent me flying!

I don't really have a stupid one but my best one was...

About 5 years ago, at my first show when I was just 8, I was in my first class ever, On my little morgan pony who for whatever reason, had the WIERDEST canter ever, and it was liks 45 gazillion people (35) and the girl right in front of me fell off... Now my pony can either jump her, step on her, or stop reallt fast... Well, she stops... SOOOO i flip over the head, flip in the air, and land on my feet holding the reins!! hahahaha i got a trophy and felt like i owned the world!!
