Personnaly, I think Arabians are amazing. As for all the people who call them 'crazy' or 'ugly', I think they are just kind of an acquired taste. When I first started riding, I didn´t like Arabians either, but then I got used to the way they look and now I think they are some of the most beautiful creatures on Earth. If you are used to Paints and QHs, then they look really wierd, but to me and a lot of other people, Paints and QHs look wierd. They are just different. Asfor them being crazy or high strung, that´s just a common misconception made by a lot of people who don´t know much about them or haven´t had experience with them. They may seem that way to some people because they are more alert and lively than some breeds, but that doesn´t make them insane. I appreciate the fact that my horse puts her ears up when I come to see her, or that she prances around the pasture when she is turned out.

Just remember, without Arabians, you wouldn´t have your Paints, Quarter Horses, Morgans, Thoroughbreds or any breed of horse.
Lol if you think pleasure Quarter Horses look weird, then you must think Thoroughbreds look weird =P, because the generally have the same build.
Ya, exactly. How do you think that QHs look wierd? And Also, I used to love arabians when I started riding, now I hate them, so I dont think it is an 'aquired' taste.

Okay, no need to jump down my throat, I didn't think I sounded snobby, so I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I didn't mean to insult QHs, I actually like them. By "wierd", I only meant that they look very different, and while some people think Arabians are weird looking compared to their quarter horse and paint type horses, I prefer the look of the Arabian. I don't see why you should be insulted by that, and I don't think you should snap at my for being critical of Quarter horses when practically this entire topic, including your post, is critical of Arabians.

Hun, no one was insulted or "jumping down your throat". You've gotten overly defensive in assuming you were being snapped at, which is entirely untrue. I was only making a general statement that really means nothing, the fact that pleasure QH's generally have the same build as Thoroughbreds.

Whatever, just forget about it. I was stuck in an airport so I guess I was in a bad mood. I usually try to stay out of all the petty arguments that occur on YR, but I guess I just slipped up and got a little defensive. I just really love my breed and don't like to hear negative things about it.

Everyone has their opinions, it's part of life. If you don't like what someone said or that someone dislikes or "hates" Arabs, just ignore it.

You know, I really think we should just drop this, because it is going no where. It is pointless for two slightly annoyed people, who are probably thousand of miles away from each other to argue about who was being rude and who said the wrong thing.

Honestly, I wasn't annoyed or being rude. I was just saying something that meant nothing to offend anyone, if it did, then it looks like someone needs some serious growing up to do.

Talking it out is much more mature than just avoiding the situation.
