| I have never been on a horse (other than little kiddie pony rides when I was younger) without a helmet on. IMO they are not uncomfortable or itchy or hot or ugly, I think it would look a lot more uglier with a big fat cut on my head. They are required unless you are over a certain age at my barn. I am in love with the idea of helmets. XD

| I take lessons at a local barn... so I kinda have to wear one ( but im proud XD). If it was my choice I would probably wear one depending what I was doing.

| | no sry i DO NOt wear a helmet in my opinion it is what it is if u get thrown off hop back up and get back on another plus is NO HELMET HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!! besides when i wear a helmet i look like shirlock holmes or somethin lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless you die by breaking your neck or cracking your head open. OR you could hit it hard enough that you are hopitalized for years because of brain damage. Or, you could even paralyze yourself by not wearing one if you hit your head or neck in the right place. Yes, riding is a dangerous sport, yes helmates are necessary and can save your life, yes, you should always wear one. But, i see where many of you are coming from, because I hardly ever wear one unless I'm jumping.

| hmmm.... let's see halmet hair or life hlemet hair or life... personally I'm gonna choose life. but it is your own decision and some people choose not to wear a helmet. I'm not going to challenge that. but my helmet has saved me from concussions, if not brain damage, lot's of times. I'm even going to start wearing it when I'm teaching Spenc to free jump (last time I was teaching him, he knocked me over and I hurt my ankle)
