| Does anyone like vaulting? Acrobatics on horseback? I've done it at the ranch where I ride on the back of a giant bay Belgian named Buzzy. |

| I did it...once. xD I love to watch it though now, because i'm not really one to be a gymnast, and it wouldnt help me to be on the back of a moving horse...lmao. But there is a small kid's vaulting team for up to ages of 18 and they have the black Percheron. He is reallllllllllllllly fat but funny. It's awesome to watch them though.

| | Heres my opinion: I think vaulting on horseback is stupid, idiotic, and pointless. Ok now nobody kill me for saying that. Deal?

And I think that is absolutely ridiculous. Sounds like an incredibly close-minded, ignorant comment to me.
Vaulting takes an enormous amount of skill, practice, preparation, dedication, athleticism...need I go on? NO, I have never vaulted nor will I probably ever get the chance. But I know people who have, and I personally can do a standing and running vault for mounted games which I do for fun. I admire vaulters very much and don't appreciate your comment at all.

Well, then I'm sorry for offending you. I never said it was easy, or didn't take skill, commitment, time, etc. In fact, Im willing to admit that I would never be able to do it. However, I'm just stating my opinion for the discipline of vaulting. I feel that for a equestrian discipline to be fully, well, equestrian, then I feel that the horse and rider should both equally participate in the work. I feel that vaulting does nothing for the horse, and in my opinion, thats not what any horse-related discipline should be. Again, sorry for causing any upset.

| I think it would be fun to try a few times. Like a week-long camp or something. I would mainly love to ride on a smooth, big horse and hold onto the grabs on the surcingle and have my hands spread out and enjoy the horse and his movements. I don't think I could ever stand or flip off a horse, but just the idea of riding a nice horse bareback and without needing to hold onto reins or steer them sounds nice.

| I used to be on a vaulting team for about a year, i quit though (I lease a horse instead) and my vaulting coach was being totaly unfair. But it takes a lot of blance and skill. It helps to make you a better rider, too.
